Located northeast of Asheville near Spruce Pine. Penland is a national center for craft education.

TRAC – Toe River Arts Council:

Weaverville Art Safari

Weaverville is home to many artists who open their studios for the biannual tour known as the Weaverville Art Safari. Just 20 miles north of Asheville, Weaverville is regarded as an art destination for Asheville. Visit their website for mor information.
